Loud, Proud, and Visible!

Women100 celebrated 5 years of connection and empowerment at the heart of the city

8 JUNE 2024

Place De Brouckère, Brussels.

Today, more than ever, we need to break out of our silos, to create spaces for sharing, exchange and joy, especially to imagine ‘What project for the city for 2030?’. Every day, we meet wonderful women who are committed to making the city more inclusive, more egalitarian, more accessible, and safer.

Since 2019, W100 has created a community of diverse women from all corners of Brussels wishing to connect and amplify the voices and actions of women throughout the region. In this space of dialogue and collaboration, women come together to build a common vision with and for all women on how to live better together in a diverse and inclusive Brussels.

On June 8, 2024, Women100 (W100) celebrated its 5th anniversary, with a gathering of our community of diverse women leaders from Brussels at the Maison des Cultures in Molenbeek to reflect, connect, and envision a powerful future for Brussels. This was followed by an afternoon of action and festivities at the Place de Brouckère, to reclaim public space by and for women.

We came together to exchange ideas to promote safe and inclusive public spaces for women in Brussels; to demand REAL equality in all public spaces, so that women in all their diversity can enjoy and belong to Brussels today and be part of building an inclusive and more equal city for tomorrow. Standing proudly together, W100 continues to amplify women’s voices and make their presence felt at the heart of the city calling on the public authorities to ensure the safety and radical inclusion of all women and girls living in Brussels.

W100 builds joyful, inclusive, and welcoming spaces that provide opportunities for women to connect with one another and make change happen. If you would like to be more involved sign up here or email w100bxl@gmail.com to be kept informed of our activities.
