Fatima Zibouh

Fatima Zibouh (Brussels, 1981)  has a doctorate in political and social sciences. She authored chapters and articles on the political participation of ethnic minorities, integration policies, and issues relating to cultural diversity in a post-migration context. Dr. Zibouh has been involved in Belgian civil society for 20 years, and is an expert on issues of  culture, diversity and inclusion. She was co-director of Molenbeek for Brussels 2030, an initiative to make Brussels the European capital of culture in 2030. 

Joanna Maycock

Joanna (England, 1971) is British/Belgian. She has lived in Schaerbeek since 1992. Joanna has worked in Brussels with organisations campaigning on poverty, migration and women’s rights. In 2024 she launched Flamingo Collective to support the emergence and practice of feminist leadership and organising.

Karen Hoehn

Karen is a consultant who helps nonprofits, foundations and international organizations influence public policy and mobilize resources. Belgian-American. Mother tongue: English

Loredana Marchi

Loredana is the director of Foyer vzw. She was born in Italy and has been working in Molenbeek since the 1980s. She is the founder of Dar al Amal (House of Hope, the women's work of Foyer). She has always been committed to the inclusion and emancipation of women. In 2011, she received the honorary title of "vredesvrouw/peace woman".

Nadine Plateau

Nadine has been active in the women’s movement since the 70s, she co-founded the first Maison des femmes in Brussels, then the Université des femmes and its journal Chronique féministe. She is one of the feminists from the associative and academic worlds who create Sophia, the bi-community network for promoting gender studies in Belgium. Currently, she coordinates, within Sophia, the working group 'Gender and Non-University Higher Education'. She is also a member of the Conseil consultatif Droits des femmes of the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.

Kasia Szkuta

Kasia Szkuta is a sociologists by training (PhD) who shaped equality, inclusion, and digital transformation agendas from advising ministers in Belgium and Poland to leading research and innovation strategies at the European Commission. She currently works as the Director of Strategy for the think-tank the Lisbon Council helping shape smarter, fairer, and more innovative European policies.

Nadia Hadad

Nadia Hadad, a human right activist from young age. She worked as a civil engineer from water related projects to training of craftsmen and young people excluded from education, to training and supporting local women’s groups in technical issues in many countries. Since 2007 she’s a lobbyist for full inclusion and meaningful participation in the disability and international development Cooperation fields with an intersectional and intersectoral approach.

Tanja Gohlert

Tanja is German-American and has made Brussels her home since 2001. She works with civil society globally to mobilize and campaign on inequality, women’s rights & human rights. She also has experience in peace building and communications. She is a co-chair of the Brussels Women's March/Lights for Rights. Languages: English, French, German, Thai.
